Hurricanes individual success will equal team success

October 12, 2018

The Holland Hurricanes men’s and women’s cross-country runners will travel on Saturday to Point Pleasant Park in Halifax, NS to take part in the third ACAA meet of the year hosted by the MSVU Mystics.

The Hurricanes will be using this meet as a tune-up in preparation for the ACAA Cross Country Running Championships being hosted by the Holland Hurricanes on Saturday October 27 at the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale.

Hurricanes male runner, André Boudreau, realizes success will come down to everyone this weekend.

“I think this weekend is going to be about everybody being ready to fire on all cylinders. We need to all be on top form and the success of the team is going to come from individual success,” he shared.

Andre is hoping for a good individual race himself.

“Coming off a second-place finish at the first race and missing out on the second trials race, a top three needs to be where I am.”

The meet will start at noon on Saturday with the women racing on the six-kilometre course while the men will race the eight-kilometre course starting at 1pm.

Results of the race can be found at www.acaa.ca.
